This panel of music theorists will strategize ways in which we as a society can increase undergraduate participation in our profession. As a group, we will articulate why this is such an important area for us to focus on at our respective campuses. Individually, we will discuss ways we can cultivate undergraduate participation, ranging from finding financial resources to pedagogical and research mentorship. Time will be allotted to engage the audience in small group conversations that can be shared collectively and assembled for presentation to the Executive Board, in an effort to enhance upcoming membership initiatives.
