In 2019 The College Board introduced a new Course and Exam Description (CED) for the AP Music Theory (APMT) Exam. There are many new features, requirements, and instructional aids contained within the CED. AP Music Theory teachers are expected to become familiar with the new materials and integrate these into their APMT courses. In this session, an overview of the new material will be provided, focusing upon materials related to curricular organization as suggested by the College Board and leading to the APMT exam. The presenters will also provide feedback relative to the document including that gleaned from AP teachers during Summer Institutes in 2019.
